Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the effect of teaching a multimedia based educational unit according to the model of instructional (ADDIE) on acquiring scientific concepts for seventh grade students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the quasi-experimental method was used, and a test was prepared to measure the acquisition of scientific concepts. The study sample consisted of (50) students who were randomly selected from the seventh grade students in Jerash Basic School for Boys, in Jerash Governorate, they were divided into two groups: An experimental group consisting of (25) students who studied a multimedia-based educational unit according to the model of instructional (ADDIE), and a control group consisting of (25) students who studied in the usual way in the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the students’ responses to the scientific concepts test, in favor of the experimental group, and also showed that there was effect of teaching a multimedia-based educational unit according to the model of instructional (ADDIE) in acquiring scientific concepts, and according to these results, it was suggested A number of recommendations, including: Teaching new educational units in science based on multimedia according to the model of instructional (ADDIE) because of its positive repercussions on the progress of the educational process, and its outcomes for students.
