Abstract
The Study deals with the role played by Shams al-Din Sami as a member of the first Jordanian Legislative council (1929-1931), Though his perception of domestic and national issues, presented and delated at the council's sessions. The paper is based on the records of (JLC) for the period.
Sami had offered, through the active role he played in the JLC, an alternative to the governments model plans for Eastern Jordan. Sami was instrumental presenting in the JLC the Opposition's views to governmental policies
