Abstract

This is a textual study aims at studying the phenomenon of the conceptual connection and its functional manifestations in diwan “yati al ashiqun iilayki” by Mohammed Fetouri based on descriptive and in-depth analysis to highlight the dimensions of this phenomenon and manifestations in the diwan, and the disclosure of images of the conceptual connection and tools and then study textual functions.

In the beginning the methodology of the study necessitated the study of the structure of the conceptual connection, and then began to study the link combinations observed in the Diwan, and the images of the conceptual connection and its tools, and then moved to study the functions of conceptual connection in the text.

The research concludes that this type of connection depends on the constructional mental purposes of the poem, influences its construction, informs it, and affects its shape and content. The research shows that this type of conceptual connection interrelated structural techniques such as repetition, creation of linguistic methods and intertextuality.
