Abstract
The current study aimed to reveal the degree of the possession of designing, managing and practicing electronic courses competencies by faculty members at the Palestinian universities. The researcher prepared a questionnaire to measure the degree of the possession of those competencies, and achieve the objectives of the study. The researcher followed the descriptive approach to describe the phenomenon under study. The study was applied to a sample of 388 randomly selected faculty members in three Palestinian universities (Al-Aqsa - Khadoori - Islamic). The results of the degree of the possession of designing and managing electronic courses competencies by faculty members were acceptable in the four main areas of the study scale (80.41%, 71.02%, 69.62%, 84.22%) and the mean was (75.7%). However, the results of the degree of practicing the competencies of designing and managing electronic courses by faculty members were very weak in the four main areas of the study scale (44.7%, 37.78%, 36.27%, 45.2%) and the mean was (40.87%), which were unacceptable levels and needed to be developed and encouraged.
