Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the necessary religious, economic and legislative conditions to establish an Islamic Financial Market in Jordan. To do that, the main purpose for financial market has been studied from transferring the surplus money to deficit places point of view. In addition, the Islamic financial market is needed for the society, as there were a lot of Islamic banks and financial institutions in the Arab World in general and in Jordan in specific that have extra cash for investment for different periods. In addition, the individuals are willing to invest their money in Islamic financial institutions. A questionnaire was distributed for group of banks, individuals, and institutions to collect the required data for analysis and testing the proposed hypotheses. The results show that there is a significant relationship between the proposed factors in this research and establishing an Islamic Financial Market in Jordan. Finally, some recommendations are provided by the author that could help in establishing an Islamic Financial Market.
