Abstract

This study aimed to identify the extent of the impact of adjustment and environmental change on the effectiveness of the strategic decisions in Jinan University in Lebanon. To achieve the objectives of the study, both practical and the practical approaches were used with the latter focusing on change and adaptation to the environment and the effectiveness of strategic decisions. The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach on a sample of (15) employees at Jinan University with ranks like (administrative officer, teacher, head of department, assistant dean, dean of the College). It was found that the correlation coefficient between change and adaptation at the internal level of the University and the effectiveness of strategic decision was (0.69), suggesting that change and adaption contributes to 38% of the effectiveness of the decisions taken at the university. However the correlation coefficient between change and adaptation in the University at the local level and the effectiveness of strategic decisions was (0.58), suggesting that change and adaption to the local environment contributes to the university by (34%) to the effectiveness of the decisions taken.
