Abstract
Most acceptancesampling plans focus on the percentage of defective products instead of considering the process loss, which doesn’t distinguish among the products that fall within the specification limits. Therefore, it is essential to develop an acceptance sampling plan with process loss consideration. In this paper, a variable sampling plan based on incapability index Cpp is proposed to deal with lot sentencing. The required sample sizesn and the critical acceptance value c with some combination of acceptance quality level are tabulated. One example is used to illustrate the proposed methodology. The proposed sampling plan provides a feasible policy, which can be applied to products requiring low process loss where classical sampling plans cannot be applied.
