Abstract
The main purpose of this paper was to describe new models of pollution discharge into water reservoirs. Unlike some known models, this new approach surmounts mathematical difficulties related to setting the correct boundary conditions. Specifically, this method shows that these difficulties can be partially overcome using local sources that have been suggested for describing the liquid phase distribution over the volume of the packed tower. Consequently, one-, two- and three-dimensional models defining the process of pollution discharge into nearby water bodies were developed. An estimation of dynamic characteristics of pollution dispersion in closed water bodies has been made.
