Abstract
This paper studies the Davey-Stewartson equation with power law nonlinearity. The bifurcation analysis will be carried out. This analysis will obtain several different solutions to this equation. The phase portraits will also be given. Additionally, the ansatz method will reveal the fact that topological defects, also known as topological solitons, will exist provided the power law nonlinearity collapses to cubic nonlinear medium.
