Abstract
This paper discuss the potential of a curved electric dipole (of radius R = r = h) as a source of electromagnetic waves. We will present the solution of Maxwell equations in one dimension for the antenna. Green functions are employed to solve the toroidal and poloidal modes of the antenna, Simulations are carried out for a frequency range of 0.01 to 10Hz. Results have shown that the antenna is able to detect resistive layers under the sea bed.
