Abstract

Median and range of a random sample are measures based on order statistics which are descriptive of the central tendency and dispersion of the population, respectively. In this paper, we obtain the median and range for order statistics from non-identical standard power distributions functions. Then, the median and range for identical standard power functions distributions and uniform distributions functions are given. Finally numerical results of the median and range are presented.
