Abstract
In this paper, we introduce a generalization of the Fuchs-Peres-Brandt (FPB) attack which is the most powerful individual- photon attack against Bennett-Brassard 1984 (BB84) quantum key distribution protocol. We suppose that Eve sets up her C-NOT gate with its control-qubit computational basis {|0⟩C , |1⟩C } given by an α rotation from the BB84 (H − V ) basis.
