Abstract
In this paper, the relationships, and trends in the number of COVID-19 infected new cases and the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in all 37 districts of Tamil Nadu state, India, during the period, 3rd July, 2020 to 31st March, 2021 are studied based on a panel regression model. The interesting results obtained in this paper are that even though the data is Panel type, none of the panel regression models are found suitable whereas the Constants Coefficient Model (Pooled Regression Model) is found suitable to study the relationships between number of covid infects and deaths. The average death due to COVID-19 was about 1.6%.
