The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of mobile learning service SMS in acquiring and retaining the instructional technology concepts among the College of Education Students at Al-Aqsa University. To achieve the study objectives , the researcher used experimental and descriptive approaches analyzing the content of an instructional technology course so as to access the instructional technology concepts list including (37) concepts. The researcher also designed the study instruments which are the test technology concepts and the mobile learning acceptance measure. The sample of the study consisted of (270) students who are randomly selected from the whole population (1430) students, the sample is divided into two groups: an experimental group (140 students) and a control group (130) students. The study results revealed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.01) between the average of the grades of the experimental group and the average of the grades of the control group in favor of the experimental group in the technological concepts test. They study also showed that there is an effective impact for the mobile learning SMS service use in acquiring instructional technology concepts and their Retention among Al-Aqsa University students.
