Abstract

This study aimed to identify the management of knowledge at Taif University and its development requirements (Field Study). The study sample consisted of (231) faculty members, who were selected in a stratified random manner, and to achieve the objectives of this study a descriptive survey method was used, and through the development of a questionnaire for this purpose which was composed of (45) paragraphs distributed on (three) sections. The results of the study showed the reality of knowledge management at Taif University, its constraints and development requirements from the standpoint of the faculty that were a medium degree. The results of the study also showed that there were a statistically significant difference (α ≤ 0, 05) between an associate professor on one hand and all of a professor, an assistant professor and a lecturer on the other hand, the differences came in the favor of an associate professor in the obstacles facing the implementation of knowledge management, in total score. There were a statistically significant differences (α ≤ 0, 05) between an associate professor on one hand and an assistant professor and professor on the other hand, the differences came in the favor of an associate professor in the obstacles facing the implementation of knowledge management development. There were a statistically significant differences (α ≤ 0, 05) between associate professor and a professor and the differences came in the favor of an associate professor in the requirements of the implementation of knowledge management development.
