Abstract

This study aimed to analyzethe Technology textbook for tenth grade according to StandardsforTechnological Literacy(STL) issued byInternational Technology Education Association (ITEA). In order to achieve the aim of the study,the researchersused the analytical descriptive methodology, specifically the method of content analysis.The researchersused content analysis tool and translated the list of Standards for Technological Literacy (STL) issued byInternational Technology Education Associationinto Arabic.The list includesfive domainsas follow: The Nature of Technology, Technology and Society, Design, Abilities of the Technological World, and The Designed World (Technological Systems).The results of the study showed that the overall percentage of achieving the standards in the entire domainswas (73%) which is high.Also,the results showedthat the percentage of achievement of standards for each domainwere respectively: The Nature of Technology, Technology and Society, Design, Abilities of the Technological world, all of which are high, and nextthe Designed World that has a moderatecompliance.In light of the findings of the study, theresearcherssuggesteda set of recommendations, the most importantwas the compliance with standards within thestudyunits should be greater, and adopting the Standards of Technological Literacy in the analysis,evaluation, and developmentof technology curricula in Palestine should be higher.
