Abstract

Green house Cultures or the New Age of Agrarian Capitalism in Morocco:The Case of Souss-Massa

In this text we will try to analyze the socio-geographic and economic issues of the development of this new agricultural strategy. At first glance, it should be noted that the few research works which have tackled the theme of “protected crops” in Morocco have been rather interested in the technical aspects of this new agricultural practice (Ghallab, 1986), (Tazi, 1986) . As well as the International Meeting which was devoted to this theme in the Mediterranean region (colloquium, 1996)was, above all, the opportunity to exchange the latest innovations and technological experiences in terms of climate control in greenhouses, soilless crops, roofing materials, the use of unconventional water etc.
