Abstract
Ambiguities Surrounding the Treaty of 1767
This research investigates the treaty that was signed between Morocco and Spain in 1767. It seeks to explain the spirit of openness between the two parties signing it. This spirit of openness of the clauses of this treaty has been reproduced in other treaties and agreements later. The 1767 treaty was signed on the basis of the principle of equality between both parties and this is justified through some texts/ data in both languages: Arabic and Spanish. This research will also discuss the differences between them in both languages.
