Abstract

Title : The problematic of the implementing methodology in contemporary Arab criticism

Methodology was originally devised to evaluate and study literary work, it is indeed a tool which the critic approaches the literary text. Arab critics are fascinated by everything that has come to with the same logic. Consequently, the text is merely a means to apply methodology and not the opposite.Arab critics were entitled to search for methods to analyze and evaluate their artistic productions but it was in vain. Therefore; they adopted western critical methodology that ultimate fails to capture the beauty and creativity of the Arab creative production.This study is therefore intended to try to highlight the problematic of methodology and to revisit our obsession with the West.It also addresses the issue of adopting critical methodology and investigates the question of how does methodology affect creativity?
