The economic-commercial history of the Doukkala and El Jadida makes it possible to distinguish between different periods of economic-commercial influence and of economic and social slump.The phases of economic wealth and international commercial developmentnational cover the periods:existence of the Portuguese in the region in the 10^th and 17^thcenturies.Opening up of Morocco in general to the world economy in the 9^thcentury and at the beginning of this century, the establishment of a series of protoindustrial projects from the 1980’s (JorfLasfar).
