Abstract
This study focuses on conducting a life cycle assessment (LCA) of using green agricultural waste as a sustainable local building material compared to conventional materials. Agricultural residues present a major waste management issue, however they can be repurposed as renewable construction resources. The aim is to quantify the environmental impacts of an experimental palm midribs roof design versus a traditional reinforced concrete roof. by using One Click LCA software to model the two design scenarios and analyze key sustainability indicators including carbon emissions. By comparing the LCA results, the study benchmarks the global warming potential and identifies opportunities to promote agricultural waste recycling.
