Abstract
Abstract: proportion of the place, and thus the loss of the distinctive general character of the area, which leads to its extinction. These areas are of distinguished value, with all the thought and culture they carry of society over time. Among the areas classified as having distinguished value is the Maadi suburb, which is located in the south of Cairo Governorate, where boundaries and foundations for preserving them have been set through the Central Administration for Studies, Research, and Policies of the National Coordination Organization. The Ministry of Culture, approved by the Supreme Council for Planning and Urban Development by Resolution No. 14/22/06/27, where the Ministry of Transport decided to widen some streets and create some modern traffic axes, such as the railway axis, which is located on both sides of the old railway line designated for goods and which connects The Abbasiya and Tora area, part of which passes within the Maadi area of distinguished value, and from here we went to study that path after presenting the concepts of preservation, standards and specifications of the areas and scopes of protection, especially for the Maadi area of distinguished value stipulated in accordance with Law No. 119 of 2008 and its executive regulations. For the year 2011. Then move on to the field study of the proposed movement path in the Maadi area, through monitoring and analysis using maps and pictures, displaying statistics, comparisons, and general interviews, and creating a questionnaire to poll opinions and participate in thought to find out the extent of society’s awareness of the importance of that topic, as a group of architects and students studying in the field of architecture and the public participated in it. From people, the door to dialogue was opened for discussion and presentation of different ideas, as well as conducting some interviews with residents of the region to present proposals to reach results and recommendations. From this standpoint, this research is a call for attention to the Maadi area in particular and areas of distinguished value in general, and to benefit from them with awareness. Current generations to preserve them because they represent the thought and culture of society in certain periods of time, as these areas are considered an important heritage passed down by previous generations that must be preserved, developed and developed in order to hand it over to future generations.
The issue of developing some movement paths in areas of distinguished value, with all the streets, squares, trees, and the construction of new traffic axes, is a widespread phenomenon recently, which leads to the loss of value as a result of changing the urban.
