Abstract
Major scientific and technological developments characterize the present time. One notable achievement is the nano revolution, which has greatly influenced various areas of life Nanotechnology is characterized by using very small particles of materials, either alone or by processing them to create new materials with remarkable properties. Hence, nanotechnology offers promising economic solutions and products to achieve a reliable and sustainable environment. Architecture has great potential to benefit from this technology to achieve sustainability and improve indoor environment quality. Given the proliferation of residential buildings in urban areas, where people spend most of their time, it is necessary to integrate nanotechnology into residential construction. Many distinctive applications have been created to improve indoor environmental quality and achieve sustainability standards, for example, improving thermal comfort performance, reducing energy consumption, acoustic comfort, visual comfort, and air purification. In This research paper will conduct an in-depth analysis of residential buildings incorporating nanotechnology, focusing specifically on its effects on indoor environments and overall sustainability. The study evaluates how these innovative materials and technologies contribute to improved indoor environmental quality. The study aims to identify effective strategies for enhancing indoor quality in hot, dry climates, providing actionable recommendations for architects and policymakers to create sustainable living spaces that prioritize occupant health and environmental stewardship.
