Abstract

Statement of the problem:1-Machines designers and companies produce present only general advantages without referring to multiple scientific and technical parameters of compact twister spindle. Which has a great impact on the physical and mechanical properties of twisted yarn in general, which must be carried out in multiple practical experiments to determine with extreme precision to adjust actual yarn T.P.I, and it varies and different according to machine manufacturer company.2-Scientific and technical parameters of compact twister machines based on personal diligence (which harms to final product) without referring to accurate scientific and experimental parameters contribute to activating compact twister technology correctly for spun yarns in general.3-Scarcity of experimental and analytical studies evaluating scientific and technical parameters of different compact twister machines for compact carded cotton yarns and related physical and mechanical properties of produced yarns. Significance : 1- Providing scientific and reference research for the best scientific and technical parameters by three different compact twister machines for the majority of compact carded cotton yarns twisted of (two-fold, three-fold, and four-fold). 2- Analysis, evaluation and comparison among physical and mechanical properties of compact carded cotton yarns produced by three different compact twister machines for the same yarn count and T.P.I. 3- Create a table fit as an initial database for the best scientific and technical parameters by three different compact twister machines for compact carded cotton yarns, which contributes to speed, ease recall and avoids production mistakes, thus improving performance level due to multiplicity and discrepancy of scientific and technical parameters among compact twister machines. Objectives : 1- Achieving the best scientific and technical parameters by three compact twister machines for compact carded cotton yarns twisted of (two-fold, three-fold, and four-fold) without effect on the physical and mechanical properties of produced yarns. 2- Determining the best compact twister machine suitable for compact carded cotton yarns through their effect on the physical and mechanical properties of produced yarns, which increases the quality of the final product, achieves optimum operating economies and increases production rates. 3- Produce compact carded cotton yarns twisted of (two-fold, three-fold, and four-fold) regular in T.P.I, which contributes significantly to the marketing process and achieves the functional performance of the final product. Methodology:The research follows experimental and analytical methods. Results : 1- Scientific and technical parameters of three compact twister machines for compact carded cotton yarns differed from the scientific and technical parameters of carded cotton yarns produced by ring-spinning due to the difference between the physical and mechanical properties of each of them from the other. These effects of spindles speed. thus, compact carded cotton yarns achieve operating economics and higher production rates than carded yarns produced by ring-spinning for the same yarn count and T.P.I. 2- Tensile strength of twisted yarn on Volkmann VTS-07 M/C ishigher than the tensile strength of twisted yarn on Murata NO. 363 M/C, while the lowest tensile strength of twisted yarn on Lee Wha 541 SA M/C. 3- Breaking Elongation ratio of twisted yarn on Volkmann VTS-07 M/C is higher than the breaking elongation ratio on Murata NO. 363 M/C, while the lowest elongation ratio on Lee Wha 541 SA M/C. 4- Hairiness values of twisted yarns on Lee Wha 541 SA M/C were higher than hairiness values of twisted yarns on Murata NO. 363 M/C, while the lowest values for twisted yarns on Volkmann VTS- 07. 5- Imperfection (IPI), which includes the sum of (thick places, thin places, and Neps/ 1000 m) of twisted yarn on Lee Wha 541 SA M/C higher than IPI of twisted yarn on Murata NO. 363 M/C, while the lowest IPI of twisted yarns on Volkmann VTS-07 M/C. Regularity T.P.I of twisted yarns on Volkmann VTS-07 M/C higher than T.P.I regularity of twisted yarns on Murata NO. 363 M/C while less uniformity of T.P.I found on Lee Wha 541 SA M/C.
