Abstract

Modern technology has contributed in increasing the efficiency to meeting many of the demands of daily life in different fields specifically in the educational sector which is the most significant sector influenced by the technological developments especially the computer. Using modern technology in the educational institutions unfortunately has received little attention by researchers although it is of great importance.

In this paper we discussed the role of the new technology tools in educating some engineering courses that are being taught in our universities. However, this type of technology should be carefully used so as not to lead to unexpected and unforeseen reactions and confusions.

We have studied the role of multimedia in teaching Biomedical Instrumentations, as an engineering course, which is being taught at some Palestinian universities. This important course has special properties that are very important and uses repeatedly very sensitive medical experiments. This paper also highlights how teachers and students with basic multimedia knowledge gain great benefits, especially by simulating experiments that should be very accurate, efficient, and reliable.
