Abstract

Religious intertextuality had been explicitly used in the poetry of Abdulmone’m Aljaliani, particularly in his Diwan of (Almubasherat and Alqudsiat) which tackles battles and conquests of Salah Adin. This Diwan could be true and reflective of his feelings as he experienced such long conflicts with its religious features of Da’wah and missionary. That’s why Aljaliani characterized his Diwan with the phenomena of intertextuality which had been appropriate to his age and his Diwan topics. Therefore, he chose the religious intertextuality to be an innovative way of creating this Diwan, which had been considered as an outstanding and perfect missionary and artistic work. It is noted that the intertextuality used by this poet- and studied in this research- varied just as the innovative ways of employing this technique did. Not to forget that the poet benefited from the Diwan contents and the different topics indicated in the title itself. This study discusses the topic of religious intertextuality in Diwan (Almubasherat and Alqudsiat). This research, with its subjective and methodological contents, has adopted the descriptive approach which benefits from the procedures of the literary analytical approach. This approach analyses the methodology of the phenomena and clarifies it in a practical way depending on poetic texts. The research has concluded that the poet Aljaliani had employed the potentials of the religious intertextuality with its different genres and manifestations in his Diwan, which has been studied here analytically and practically.
