Abstract
The study aimed at identifying the relationship between Big Five factors of personality and the performance of teaching among Arabic language teachers in the Province of Sharourah. To achieve this aim, the researchers used the list of five factors, and the performance of teaching scale. The research sample consisted of (126) teachers chosen randomly. The results of the study indicated that the most common personal factor is agreeableness; and the least common one is neuroticism. The study also found that there is a high degree in the level of the performance of teaching among teachers. In addition، the results indicated that there is a statistically positive relationship correlation between the Extroversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Openness on the experience and the performance of teaching. Whereas there is a negative relationship between neuroticism and performance of teaching. The results also showed that the five factors explained the percentage of (.67) from the variances at the level of the performance of teaching.
