Abstract

The study aimed to find out the computational thinking skills which were included in the seventh grade programming course in Palestine. The researchers adopted the descriptive analytical method to fit into this study and they identified a list of the five sub computational thinking skills: Algorithm thinking, analysis, assessment, generalization, simulation, and identifying their indicators, and turning them into a tool. After confirming its validity and reliability, it has been used to analyze the programming course for the basic seventh grade in Palestinian schools. The results showed the availability of computational thinking skills in the seventh grade programming course at high rates. The researchers attributed the rise of rates to the fact that the content presentation mainly aims at helping students to develop their Computational thinking skills .The study recommended that the integration of Computational thinking skills education with the contents of different curricula should be adopted.
