Abstract
This research tackles the issue of re-explaining and interpreting the meaning of the term Dirhams mentioned in Surat Yusuf, peace be upon him, where archaeologists confirm that dirhams and currencies, in general, were unknown by civilizations before the seventh century BC, while the story of prophet Yusuf occurred in the seventeenth century B.C. more than a thousand years before the discovery of coins. Scholars and Interpreters have talked much about the issue of price and dirhams inconsistent with modern archaeological discoveries. That is why it became necessary to do thisresearch for the purpose of re-interpretingand re-explaining thisterm, in particular, and the verse, as a whole,based on new visions, and in conformity with archeological and latestfindings
