Abstract

This is a research concerning the structure of the passive verb in the Holy Quran, it has been presented in two chapters, an introduction and a conclusion. The first chapter negotiated the passive verb, its origins and the related items, in which it discussed the related items of the structure of the passive verbs grammatically and the related items of the passive verb including the
object, the gerund, preposition, the nouns following them and adverbs, moreover it negotiated the Holy Quran patterns of the words that stands after the subject in the Holy Quran with special attention on the object, sub sentence and the gerund.


The second part concentrated on the objectives of the structure of the passive verb in the Holy Quran which have divided into the following patterns: Summarization, Knowing the subject, Glorifying the subject,The suitability of what is represented, The humiliation of the subject, When the subject is already unknown, and Other objectives like commas and parallel sentences
