Abstract

The purpose of this study aimed at investigating the actual supervisory practices used by the principals as perceived by high school teachers in Hebron district in the year 2005 – 2006. The population of the study consisted of (1269) teachers, whereas a sample of (228) teachers was randomly chosen. The researches developed a questionnaire consisted of (45) items, distributed on six aspects. The study revealed that the high school teachers described the principal's supervisory practices as 'high', and there were statistically significant differences between the teacher's perceptions due to the variables: directory and experience, while there were no statistically significant differences due to the variables: sex, major and qualification.
