Abstract


This study aimed at shedding the light on the current situation of the organizational health of private schools in Northern West Bank in Palestine and to examine the possible relation between the variables (sex , academic qualification , age and school level) and the responses of teachers towards the organizational health of their schools.

The total population of the male and female teachers of the private schools in northern West Bank in Palestine is (712) in which a sample of (139)male and female teachers were selected randomly.
This study adopted the descriptive method in which a questionnaire was formed and it included (59) articles and consisted of six domains which are (institutional strength , administrative leadership and it s personal style , providing necessary resources , morale and human relations and finally the emphasis on the academic levels and teachers quality.

Instrument credibility and reliability were examined then the questionnaire was distributed over the sample and then the information was analyzed , balanced means ,standard deviation , one way-anova , and (t) test.

The result of the study revealed that the highest percentage was in favor of the level of the administrative leadership and its style , then the institutional strength , the academic level and teachers quality then providing the necessary resources and finally the notable personality , on the other hand , the lowest percentage was in favor of the morale and human relation . Moreover the results show that there are no differences with statistical evidence on the level of evidence (a=0.05)concerning the percentage of the responses of teachers according to the sex , academic qualifications , age and school level.

The study has following recommendations:

  • The private schools organization has to play a prominent role in enhancing the social status of teachers through social activities.
  • the importance of the participation of the private schools in the activities and competitions which are conducted by the ministry of education.
  • the importance of the participation of the private schools of the occupational development programs which are carried out by the ministry of education.
