Abstract
This research is an attempt to shed light upon the artistic form in the “Prison Poetry” through focusing on two sides. First, the assimilation which is one of the most important factors in the connection between the text and the recipient. Second, the evidence which can affect and persuade others of changing the social image of the prison and the prisoner. The other side is the metaphoric one which embodies many different artistic forms: symmetry, personificattion, embodiment, and clustering. Thy all formed a portrait of the prison and the prisoner. The approach of the study is both descriptive and analytical.
