This research tries to detect the structure ofthe drama discourse in the play «Al Bab» by the writer Ghassan Kanafani. This structure has been focused on three areas: the first is the function of the title and its role in the production of meaning at different levels. The second reveals the source of the play at the level of the legendary intertextuality with the old Arabic myth «Aad», and the relationship with that by framing characters that question the contemporary cases. The third dimension is the intellectual, or ideological. It deals with the writer’s ability to represent the human form, «the thinker,», the author of civilization. To this end, we adopt a method to detect the manifestations of «literature» in the drama discourse and its aesthetic and intellectual dimensions.
