Abstract
The sense of death increased due to the frequent strife and killings during the Umayyad era. This sort of feeling typically requires freedom and personality faithfulness. The external poetry is the reflection of the life experience and the external poet’s characteristics of openness and courage.
Alkhawaarij ideas sprung from the Holy Quran but they – Alkhawaarij- were featured by their excessive belief in certain aspects and negligence of others which gave an impression that they would reject the secular life. The dual view of life and death in Alkhawaarij poetry was underestimated as death is a reflection of life, so when a person dies he actually enjoys a different type of life. Thus death to Alkhawaarij person means security and salvation which is considered another type life.
