The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of the possession of secondary school students the skills of metacognition in the light of some of variables. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers applied a tool, after establishing its validity and reliability, on a sample that consisted of (549) male and female students from secondary schools in Hebron directorate of Educational during the second semester of the academic year of 2009/2010. The members of the sample were selected by using a stratified cluster sample. The results of the study showed that the degree of the possession of high school students the skills of metacognition was medium (3.54).
