This study aimed at investigating the effect of an activity – based program in the Islamic Education on the development of creative thinking skills (fluency , flexibility , originality ).to achieve the aim of the study , a sample of the 7th Elementary Class students in the educational directorate of Zarqa Qasaba was chosen randomly . the sample consisted of (130) students and was divided into an experimental group of (65) students and a control group of (65) students . the researcher prepared the above –mentioned program aiming at developing creative thinking of the 7th Elementary Class students . the program was given to a group of referees to confirm its content validity . then , the researcher applied the Torrance test for Creative thinking , verbal form (A). the study results showed that there were differences of statistical significance between the average performance of the 7th Elementary Class students who applied the activity – based program and those students who followed the normal program .the results reflected by the verbal form (a) of Torrance Test were in favor of the experimental group at the creative thinking levels of fluency , flexibility , and originality .
