Abstract

The study aimed at constructing a total quality criteria list for teaching rhetoric topics for 11th graders besides identifying 11th grade teachers’ knowledge level of these criteria. The research, moreover, aimed at identifying whether there are statically significant differences in the knowledge availability level of these criteria among 11th, grade teachers attributable to gender and experience years. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach as he designed an observation checklist which he administered to a random sample of (50) female and male 11th grade Arabic teachers. After the administration of the study tool and computing the statistical analysis, the researcher arrived at the following conclusion: 1-The items of the first domain (planning a rhetoric lesson) got a percentage that ranged between 68.8% and 89.25 but the domain as a whole got 79.3% and a mean of 3.97. This indicates that the total quality criteria in teaching rhetoric topics among Arabic teachers were available with an average degree; (2) the items of the second domain(presenting a rhetoric lesson) got percentages ranging between 74.4% and 86.4% and the domain as a whole got 79.4% and a mean of 3.970 which shows the total quality criteria availability level in teaching rhetoric topics among 11th grade Arabic teachers is of an average degree: (3) the third domain items(activities and experiences a rhetoric lesson) got percentages ranging between 69.60% and 82.40%, however the whole domain got 77.20% and a mean 3.860.This indicates that the availability level of total quality criteria of teaching rhetoric topics among 11th grade teachers was average; (4) The fourth domain items (summative evaluation of a rhetoric lesson)got percentages that range between 70% and 79.60% ,whereas the domain as a whole got 74.24% and a mean 3.71%. This indicates that the availability level of total quality criteria in teaching rhetoric topics among 11th grade teachers was average; (5) there were no statistically significant differences in the availability level of total quality criteria among 11th grade teachers attributable to sex; there were statically significant differences in the availability level of total quality criteria when teaching rhetoric topics attributable to experience
