Abstract

The study aimed at portraying a Suggested framework in a course designed in political knowledge for students at the Faculty of Education in Al-Azhar University. To achieve The object of the study, the researcher designed a test consisted of (58) multiple choice questions to know the political knowledge level of the students and the effect of their specialization on their knowledge. The test was randomly administered on a sample consisted of (150) students of fourth year, scientific, literary and specific sections. The results of the study indicated that there are statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the real mean and the hypothetical mean in political level in favour of the hypothetical one. This indicates the low level of political knowledge of students. The results of the study also showed that specialization has no effect on students’ political knowledge. In the light of these results, the researcher designed a suggested framework in political knowledge for students, in addition to some suggestions and recommendations.
