Abstract
This study aimed to determine the commitment degree of science teachers with teachers professional standards, and identifying whether there were statistically significant differences in the commitment degree due to the following variables (specialization, in-service teaching period). The study tools were applied on a sample consisted of (50) science teachers, whom were randomly chosen from nineteen different school in Irbid district. Findings showed that the commitment degree of science teachers with teachers professional standards was “medium”. Significant differences between evaluation students learning and specialization were found due to physics teachers, and the total degree of professional standards commitment differs according to (in-service teaching period) in favor of the teachers with experience (6 - 10) years.
