The purpose of this study is to identify the convictions of tenth grade student of controversial social issues and to a achieve the objective of the study there is atool used for the interview consisting of ten questions which have been verified and applied to the sample of tenth grade (32) students (male, female). Qualitative approach was used in the implementation of this study. It was used in semi systematized interview and analyzed data obtained by using inductive and deductive currictum.The study concluded that the convictions of students of these issues reached to (75.5%) which is higher than the acceptable level educationally. Eventually, there is a relationship between student’s ability to defend their convictions and their level of thinking. The percent age of the students who had high convictions and the ability to defend these convictions reached to (72.6%) and it is higher than the acceptable level in education.
