Abstract

The purpose of study was to reveal the degree of using psychological tests and measures in the counseling process by school counselors and the obstacles that these counselors encountered. To this end, the authors of this study prepared all questionnaire items the descriptive analytical method was used conducted this study by recruiting a sample of (71) school counselors in Ajlun Governarate. The counselors filled out a questionnaire consisting of (14) items to reveal the degree of using psychological tests and measures in the counseling process. The counselors also filled out another (12) questionnaire items to pinpoint the degree of obstacles that they faced. Results showed that the degree of using psychological tests and measures in the counseling process by the school counselors was low, and there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of using psychological tests and measures based on gender and years of experience. Results also showed that the degree of obstacles that hindered the use of psychological tests and measures in the counseling process was high. However, there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of obstacles based on gender and years of experience.
