Abstract

The study aimed to determine the role of the academic leaders’ practice of e-leadership in university administrations in achieving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 in light of the National Transformation Program 2020. The descriptive analytical approach was used, and the tool was the questionnaire, that was applied to a sample of (269) academic leaders in the university administrations of eight Saudi public universities. Results found that means scores of academic leaders’ practice of e-leadership in university administrations in the KSA in the light of the National Transformation Program 2020 was (3.66). Concerning the ranking of administrative practices, the administration has the highest practice with means scores (3.88), and the contribution of the academic leaders’ practice of e-leadership in university administrations to achieving the goals of the National Transformation Program 2020 was very high, obtaining (4.21) as means scores. The researcher provided many recommendations including: academic leaders must use the recent cutting-edge technology Saudi university administrations ensure the best application of e-leadership as to facilitate and shorten time and effort and reduce cost. The researcher recommends leader to adopt any processes and leading practices that based on information and communication technologies such as: management information systems, computer programs and applications, electronic records, blogs, and social media .
