Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of Jordanian political parties in the political reform process in Jordan during the period 1999-2021. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical approach, the historical approach and the legal institutional approach were used. The study revealed that political parties are considered to have an effective impact in all aspects of political, social, economic, scientific, and psychological life, because their agenda and goals are linked to the interests of their countries, even if they differ in views, the first and last interest remains for their countries, but what we find in Jordan is that some parties do not have any active role in any field of life; this is a result of the large number of parties, reaching more than 40 parties, and this in itself is sufficient to cancel their actual presence on the Jordanian arena, which leads to saying that the Jordanian partisan experience was and still is weak, and based on the results of the study, it was recommended to issue a modern party law Democratic, encourages young people to work in partisanship and banishes the look of fear, and sets 50% of the parliament’s seats for partisan representation in preparation for the establishment of the parliamentary government.
