Abstract

This study aimed at detecting to what extent Yarmouk University students are aware of the dangers of cyber terrorism. The sample consisted of (500) students selected as a simple random sample from five colleges: Education، Science، Sharia، Law، and Engineering for the academic year 2015/2016. A quuestionnare was developed that consisted of (41) items representing three fields: educational، sentimental، and behavioral awareness. The validity and reliability of the research instruments were assured. The results indicated that the students’ awareness of cyber terrorism was high. The results also revealed that there were significant statistical differences at (α= 0.05) in Yarmouk university students' awareness of cyber terrorism dangers، due to the sex variable in favor of males in all the fields. As for the college variable، the significant differences were in favor of the Faculty of Law.
