Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at finding out the psychological needs and their relationship to the learning styles among university youth with high tendency toward intellectual deviation and the ways to reduce it. the study used the descriptive methodology and the purposive sample contained (30) male and female students with high tendency toward intellectual deviation. the psychological needs scale and the learning styles scale-revised were applied on them. The results indicated that the youth have a low level in the psychological needs satisfaction, They also prefer the superficial learning style and they have weakness in the deep and strategic learning style. There was also a correlation among low satisfaction of independence, belonging, efficiency and increasing the style of surface learning and the decline of the style of deep and strategic learning among youth with high tendency towards intellectual deviation. The study recommended the need to work on satisfying the psychological needs of the youth with high tendency to intellectual deviation.

ملخص: خلصت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن الشباب مرتفعي الاتجاه نحو الانحراف الفكري لديهم مستوى ضعيف جدا في إشباع الحاجات النفسية (الانتماء والكفاءة والاستقلالية)، كما أنهم يفضلون أسلوب التعلم السطحي ولديهم ضعف في أسلوب التعلم العميق والاستراتيجي، كما يوجد ارتباط بين انخفاض إشباع الاستقلالية والانتماء والكفاءة بزيادة أسلوب التعلم السطحي وانخفاض أسلوب التعلم العميق والاستراتيجي لدى الشباب مرتفعي الاتجاه نحو الانحراف الفكري، وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة العمل على إشباع الحاجات النفسية لدى الشباب مرتفعي الاتجاه نحو الانحراف الفكري.
