Abstract
This study aimed to identify the problems that faced the educationalcounselors in governmental schools in the governorate of Bethlehem. For thispurpose, a five- dimension- questionnaire was designed: The first dimensionwas about the problems related to the school manger, the second was relatedto the student, the third was about the local community, and the fourth wasrelated to the teachers while the fifth dimension was about the academicsupervisors. The population of the study consisted of 44 supervisors and thefive- level scale in the questionnaire was followed in the analysis. The resultsof the study revealed a number of problems such as those related to the thirddimension (i. e. the community) , namely: weakness of the Palestinian mediato follow the important role of the supervisor , in the fourth dimension (i. e.the teacher) , namely: he avoids taking into account the students› feelings,and he diminishes the importance of the students› interests and abilities inthe classroom, and in the fifth dimension (i. e. supervisor) , which is oneof the most researchable problems namely: lack of budget specified for theactivities of the educational supervisor at school, and lack of knowledgeof how to conduct scientific research, and the supervisor being busy withprofiles and records. It has also been shown that there are differences in theaverages of the total score of the problems faced by supervisors in their workin Bethlehem due to the variable of sociology
