Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the concepts of health education,which should be included in the books of life and earth sciences in their recentcopies for the three secondary levels in Morocco, and the extent to whichthese books addressed the concepts of health education.We have been prepared and applied a methodological card for analyzingthe content of the secondary school programs, which it formed in its finalformula of (30) concepts distributed in (8) principal areas. The most importantresults of this study are as follows:16 concepts, among the total ones in the book of life and earth sciencesfor the first year of secondary cycle, have been touched; while The book ofthe second year addresses to (11) concepts and the one of third year touches25 concepts.The three programs included most of main areas of health education.Their presence in the book of third year are with a significant proportionwhile for the first and second years of secondary cycle it has been overlookeda range of areas such as personal health and the health of the environmentfor the second year, and the use of medicines for the first year; it was alsoaddressed to some concepts with a weak proportion such as health food inthe first and second years (25%) , and the health of the community (40%) inthe first year.
