The study assessed the level of alignment ofthe new Saudi Biology, Physics, and Chemistrytextbooks for 10th grade with the correspondingtextbooks produced by McGraw- Hill. Three listsof educational specifications were developed tomeasure the alignments of the targeted textbook.Based on these specifications, three content analysistools were created, each includes specifications,indicators, and evidence, derived from the Mc-Graw- Hill bookseries and related literature. Afterassuring tools validity and reliability, analysis wasconducted. Results of analysis showed that thelevel of the overall alignment weremoderate for alleducational specifications, except the specification:content based inquiry and developing study skillsfor Biology and linking content to mathematicsmethods and skills for Physics, which were rated ashigh aligment levels. While the level of alignmentfor developing study skills for Physics was verylow. The study provided recommendations to raisethe level of educational specifications alignment instudent textbooks.
