Abstract

The current study was designed to determine The level of mental health among public schools teachers and its relation to their performance in light of irregular salary level .The study sample consisted of (176) teachers, used a questionnaire of(44) items to achieve the objectives of the study, distributed on two dimensions. The most important results of the study were the mental health professional performance of the majority of teachers negatively affected by the irregular salaries, and there is a clear correlation between the mental health level of government for teachers, and the level of professional performance in light of the irregularity of their salaries, and the results showed a statistically significant difference between the mean study sample responses according to the sex variable (teachers - teachers) for the benefit of teachers. It showed no statistically significant differences between the mean study sample responses depending on the economic level variable (NIS 1,500 or less 0.1600 shekels and older). The researchers recommended to develop preventive and therapeutic strategies to ease the pressures of the teaching profession on the Palestinian teacher, and increase attention to working conditions by providing an environment appropriate for the teachers to achieve more, to feel secured at their jobs and comfortable as well. In addition to providing moral and material incentives for teachers and encourage them, and work to improve their living conditions, and work to improve the image of the teacher in society, through the media video and audio
